A new way to use funds for private sellers
From 16 October, you'll be able to enjoy greater flexibility with your sales earnings with the introduction of eBay balance. Use your earnings to easily and conveniently make a purchase, and pay for delivery labels, promoted listings, and more.
At checkout, just select 'eBay balance' as your payment method. You can use as much or as little of your balance as you like, or combine your balance with another payment method to cover the full amount. Plus, easily withdraw your funds when you need them.
With eBay balance, your earnings are ready to use once your sales and funds are processed (holds may apply).

Does eBay balance apply to business sellers?
To help manage earnings, UK-based private sellers will now have better visibility into when their funds are made available. Seller funds will generally be made available, to spend on eBay or withdraw, after the order is considered delivered, which is determined based on the delivery method:
Deliveries:
- Tracked: Funds will usually be available 2 calendar days after we receive confirmation from the tracked service that delivery to the buyer or pick-up location was successful.
- For local collection, funds will be available within 24 hours after you've entered the 6-digit confirmation code that the buyer received by email, or after the buyer scans the QR code.
- If the item includes Authenticity Guarantee, funds will be available within 24 hours after the item is successfully authenticated.
- For items sent via Global Shipping Programme, funds will be available within 24 hours after the item is delivered to the UK Shipping Centre.
- For untracked deliveries, or tracked deliveries with no delivery confirmation, funds will become available 14 calendar days from the order date.
- For untracked, single-quantity, single-item orders priced £10 or less, funds will be available after positive feedback is received from the buyer, or 14 days from the order date, whichever comes first.
Note: If the buyer requests a return or has a problem with the order, we’ll wait until the issue is resolved before we release seller funds. Additional holds may apply.
When will my funds be available to spend on eBay or withdraw?
Your funds are generally available in your balance within 2 business days after the buyer’s order is confirmed. Please note that certain payment holds may apply. You can withdraw any amount from your balance at any time.
How long does it take to receive my withdrawal or payout?
It usually takes 0-2 business days for the funds to reach your bank account, but this may vary depending on your bank's processing times.
