Football is rarely out of the headlines, even when it is supposedly in the "off season". A flurry of renewed optimism always accompanies the start of a new footie season, though – reminders to renew your season ticket, checking out the new replica club shirt and, of course, fitting in all those away games around your busy schedule.
But all these things cost money and many footie fans are starting to question the costs involved and whether it's a viable option to be an avid supporter these days. These stats released by eBay show which of the Premier League clubs are popular with fans through the sales of football shirts during the period June 2013-June 2014.
Although the topline figures for numbers of shirts sold are impressive, fans' true dedication can be seen by the enthusiasm of some club supporters to spend phenomenal amounts of money on shirts signed or worn by their footballing heroes.
Discover for yourself the true depth of fans' support for their club in the report below.
