Feedback and clicking noises

When this product is working, it is excellent. After a song or two, I can hear the subtle clicking sound coming through the speakers (does not happen with normal cassettes). I also get a deep rumbling sound which I think is related to the jack connection. It seems to go away for a little if I twist it back and forth a few times but it comes back anyway. I was hopeful but unfortunately I ended up disappointed.
