Definitely a Keeper
The one I received has a battery compartment door that doesn’t latch all the way closed when batteries are inserted.
However, the product overall is definitely something I’d recommend. Good picture quality in a very compact form. Just make sure to use heavier duty Alkaline batteries. My Harbor Freight Zinc Chloride batteries aren’t up to snuff to keep the thing powered. The fact that this doesn’t use proprietary batteries is great, don’t have to go around looking for a charger or adapter. Just go to the nearest corner store and pick up a pack of batteries.
Also make sure to have a Sony Memory Stick.

It's An Experience
2 of 3 found this helpful The Vive is legitimately the most immersive gaming experience I've ever had. You really need to try out beginner programs before stepping up to games like Onward and Pavlov, but the beginner programs are genuinely a fun and unique experience. I'm glad I'm able to experience the future of gaming while it's at it's infancy, it really does have the qualities of an idea that will last a really long time!
This all being said, if you're looking for something that you can buy, install, and instantly have hundreds of games to play, you'll be sadly mistaken. As of right now, there is a huge lack of giant titles that you can play by yourself. Most of the games that I see people praising are the ones where you meet with random people and just play with each other. If you're like me, you'll have a hard time doing these things with either a loner personality or bad internet.
It is certainly something crazy to play with, but buy it when you have enough spare cash. Don't rush to get something without fully researching on if it has stuff you want or not.
