I bought this lens twice!
4 of 4 found this helpful I own the Fuji 16-55mm zoom, which is why I got rid of the first 18-55mm I owned. I'm not a huge fan of variable aperture lenses, but Fuji does make two of the best I have ever used. The 18-55 is one of them. Truthfully, I could have lived without the second copy of this lens but I own the X-T2 (I have or have owned most of the Fuji X cameras) which is a fantastic video camera besides a stills camera. It has no stabilization though, so a friend lent me his 18-55 with the OiS stabilization and I found the 18-55 to be the perfect all around focal length PLUS the Ois feature really made the pictures super smooth! It was like night and day.
The 18-55 holds its own in sharpness and IQ. I do like the 16-55 2.8 more for my use. I'm a full time photographer and I just use the 2.8 side often at all focal lengths and the 16-55 is sharper but not by much. For much work not involving a prime lens, the 18-55 would suffice. For travel its way better than the 16-55. Smaller, lighter. I have issues with the lens hoods on both copies but Fuji does a terrible job on lens hoods anyway, sans the extra expensive hoods for the 16mm and 23mm. The 18-55 is a solid lens. If you need a zoom for video with a Fuji camera, there really is no other choice.

Retro cool with today's tech
3 of 3 found this helpful This camera is styled after the popular rangefinder cameras that are so expensive but highly sought after. It is definitely retro in looks and in functionality with the digital imaging twist. This camera is not a point and shoot. You need to understand the concepts of exposure and how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO relate to make a proper photo and get the most out of the camera. You need to think a bit about what you want before you press the button. You do these things and you get some damn fine pictures. I mean, you will still get a useable picture by using straight program modes and just snapping away but they won't really pop unless you get lucky.
This camera produces the best JPG images out a camera I have ever seen. Color and detail can be exceptional. Prints tack sharp. The controls take some getting used to as does the hybrid viewfinder but I love it personally. Its exactly the break from my DSLR's I wanted. I love my DSLR's but they get tedious at times. The lens being fixed isn't a problem for me at all. I don't mind using my feet to get close or far away. It packs well being small but not tiny. Build quality is solid, it feels good. It looks good. It might not be the camera for everyone but I love the lack of a touch screen, I love the simple austere menus, I love the way it connects me to taking a photo and not technology. For all the technology it has, and its a bunch, it does a remarkable job of separating all that from the act of taking a picture. That may be its best feature.

Great simple trigger for Godox 2.4Hz systems
This is a great simple no frills trigger to operate the newer Godox and other same rebranded X system flash units. It support remote power adjustment for up to 16 channels, the controls are easy to understand and use. the unit is nice and petite and mates well with smaller Fuji X system cameras but also is not out of place on the larger GFX camera. The display is easy to read and see. I wish it was available without the useless XTR-16 which I threw away, hence only four stars. I paid for a piece of useless trash. Bad marketing there.
