PCI Controller Card Adapter Hub

Installed on a Gigabyte G-41 Combo Motherboard running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. The system installed the driver(s) without the need of CD/DVD or a USB stick containing the driver(s). I use the 4 external ports. The internal port worked in the beginning, but after a day it didn't seem to work any more. Any way, I 've been using this devise for more than 3 months & the 4 external ports work just fine. I believe it's an excellent solution for older machines.

Great & cheap

Works fine & gives a cheap solution for connecting ear/headphones or remote loudspeakers with an optical connection. Mind that YOU NEED TO USE A SOUND AMPLIFIER IN A ROW in order to have(& to control) a decent sound level. I use it with a set of wireless headphones that already has sound amplification & sound level control, so I dont need a sound amplifier. Generally I 'm happy with that gadget.

Intel Core 2 Duo E8600

I am not an PC expert, I just share with you my experience. I installed this CPU in a Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo M/B with Corsair XMS2 4GB DDR2-800MHz (TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX) ram memory, a Neutron GTX 120GB as C drive combined with a classic HDD for the librairies and a low price NVIDIA chipset graphics card(~55euros), all of them running in a Windows 7 ultimate 64bit OS. I would run at the same time a HD video(1080p on VLC programm), copy large files from one HDD to another(or running a back up programm like Microsoft SyncToy) and have open more than 3 pages on Firefox. Sometimes I run Nero11 with another programm in parallel. In these conditions, the PC responds immediately in any new command that I'd give. No delays no problems, & I also see a small but visible difference(to the best) from the Intel Core 2 E8500 3.16GHz CPU that I had previously installed in this PC. No games or programms with high proccessing demands running on my PC. Personally I 'm 100% happy with this combination. Hope I 've given you some ideas.
