Better value than 'cheaper' units!
0 of 1 found this helpful Like many in the knitting and crochet community, I have used the less expensive, plastic yarn winding units for many years. Over time these would tangle the yarn, or they could not handle a large skein or yarn, or sometimes the yarn would go under the base, and get caught in the mechanism. Finally, when I needed still another new unit, I did some research, and decided to try this winder, and I could not be happier! It is quiet, efficient, and I can wind a much larger quantity than ever before! Plus, because the base is made of heavy steel, I know that this will last me for the rest of my life! Happy, happy!!!!
