Still a great XM option
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought it used to replace a ten year old unit that flaming out. Just had to pop it in the mount and get it activated. For $20 my 2006 Toyota Sequoia is rolling with satellite again. So glad people are still selling these used.

0 of 1 found this helpful Easy to install. Super simple. Has good view from my apartment door. Really professional Android app and capabilities. Battery life seems good. Had a little trouble with my router connecting to the device, but that was a router issue. Be aware that to be able to record images or video you need a $30/yr Ring Subscription. Otherwise it is just a doorbell with a camera you can see on your phone....that's it. For me, it's worth the price plus $30/year.

Great Soundbar with LED and Excellent Surround Sound (for a 3.1)
1 of 1 found this helpful This a great soundbar and subwoofer combo for my small living room... at used/refurbed/open box pricing around $300.
I was not in the market for a $600 soundbar, but was not happy with the $200 to $300 Vizio/Samsung models. Also, I really wanted a Sony for max compatibility with my Sony TV.
The sound is great. The G700 has an LED readout on the front of the bar which I was accustomed to and find necessary. The fullness of the "surround" sound is much better than the other three bars I tried. It is not true 5.1 surround, but I am ok with that.
There is some chatter in other reviews about being unable to distinguish dialog with this bar (and probably others). I found that if I set both the TV and surround bar to Cinema or Surround, both pieces of electronics try to apply digital effects and it totally muddies the sound. When I allow, in my case, the Chromecast with Google TV to handle the sound with the soundbar set to standard, it works perfectly. There is also a "Voice" mode on the remote if I want to further enhance dialog during a movie. For all other sources (Youtube, YoutubeTV, OTA TV) if works fine. The issue only occurs with a surround sound signal from a source that is then run through two electronic audio processors.
