Great for the money!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is an older version of The Bedford Researcher by Palmquist, which is required for many English 101 or 102 classes. This 2nd edition is not even close to obsolete and still has the information you need to write your research papers, plus it has the added bonus that you can find it all over the place for half the cost or less. Do yourself and your budget a favor this year...
Aside from all that, this is the book to buy if you need a guide on writing research papers. There are separate sections for each format, guiding you on how to cite for your bibliography in MLA, APA, Chicago and CSE styles.
This is an excellent buy for the money.

Spend the money for a better guitar.
I bought this as a gift for my brother in law and upon receipt, he tried to tune it but was unable, as the little gears were stripped on two of the tuning assemblies.
Also, the chrome side bit on the top was bent and the bottom thing where the strings attach was cracked. The whole thing was crap and I was embarrassed to give it as a gift and ended up having to get another one, as this one was unplayable without considerable investment in replacement parts and repair.

Sideways backpacks? What?
So if you have a small child, you’ve likely seen them walking around the school with these backpacks that go down past their butts and bounce around uncomfortably. But if you get a smaller size backpack, their notebooks and whatall don’t fit, right?
This is where the Bixbee backpacks come in. It’s a full-sized backpack, but sideways, like a messenger bag. I honestly have no idea why this idea isn’t more popular. It’s perfect. We just bought our fourth backpack in five years, as they’ve tended to last us around 2 years apiece and then we hand them down. Honestly, my daughter doesn’t mind using the same one from year to year, but after the second year we figure it’s time for a new one.
Yeah, they’re a bit more expensive than your average Wal-Mart backpack, but they last and the fit is great.
First we had the Army green and orange one, then the pink one (it was on sale, my daughter was NOT happy) and then the fox one. The latest is a black one, as my daughter is determined to become an Emo or whatever.
They have a ton of different colors and styles to choose from, too. From littles to teens, there will be something your kid will either love or will live with (without purposely destroying it so they have to get another one).
Take it from me, they’re good backpacks.
