Review of "I'm in a Phone Boothe Baby"
Albert is just about his usual self. He's good. The difference here are the backing musicans. At first, I thought they were a little busy. But when I played it again in my car, I realized that they were expert players. No need to go the sparce, simple route already immortalized by, Booker T., and the MGs. The sparkling contributions of the session players was unexpected, but welcome.

Muddy Waters "Folk Singer"
This cd, "Folk Singer" is like the cd by Muddy called "One More Mile". The instrumentation is sparse, and Muddy's vocals are just that more powerful. This remastered cd has a fantastic sound, which is legendary. I bought it to see if the sound was as good as everybody said it was. The sound is good, and the music is even better. The price was also very reasonable.

Good "Match"
The real star of this movie is Ann Dvorak (who was also great in the 1932 version of "Scarface" with Paul Muni), not Bette Davis or Joan Blondell. It was good to see a portrait of a woman, who was not a monster, but just didn't love her husband. It's a little slow a first, but picks up. The portion of the film, with the girls a youngsters, was interesting because we don't usually see a realistic portrail of kids. This movie is like a "Time Machine" into 75 years ago. If you like movies made in the 1930s, check it out.
