Love this little guy
I don’t remember where I actually purchased this… it was offered at a good price so I had to jump. What I really wanted was a BB-8, I eventually found one of those so now I have this little guy and the BB-8. I had hoped that they had made an R2 D2 unit with this line but I have not been able to find one.
These are actually very durable I had this on top of one of my speaker columns and I knocked it off, fell on the ground and his head came off but I was able to snap it back on, none of the parts broke, very nice.
I may try to figure out how to insert some flashing lights into its head maybe into the body too. I like how these things are designed to look like they have rust and dirt embedded.

Head stays PUT!!
I had been reading reviews about this item where people have been complaining that the “head does not stay on“- really? That certainly isn’t the same as this product, the moment the head found just the right spot, it snapped in place and it stuck!
The only complaint I have is that I also have a D-0 “Wobot” which apparently is the same product line and so it uses the same kind of controller on the same frequency. It’s too bad that they couldn’t program a different radio frequency for the BB unit. This is a problem that I always run across when buying the RC cars that I collect. The idea was to race them, which I can’t do because one controller controls all of the cars.
It’s only a minor problem though. I put this thing on my kitchen floor and he definitely avoids being stuck, he doesn’t like obstacles and he goes around them. Definitely a companion for my D-0! if you jostle them, they will sit there and make a little noises and movements so it gives you the illusion that they are communicating.

Does exactly what it says
3 of 3 found this helpful I have bunches of computers that only have an SVGA output, and until now no way of connecting them to my big screen TV which I use for all my computers.
I had ordered another adapter that was around the same price as this, but it neglected to send the HDMI signal.
I believe the reason is because this adapter has the micro USB port which plugs into any USB output, to provide the 5 V needed to push the HDMI out to my TV.
Maybe some HD TVs don’t need that extra 5 V, but mine does. But now that I think about it, it just makes sense to provide that the power that the adapter needs.
I wasn’t sure exactly what to do with that extra cable that connects from the adapter to the USB port, and then I realized well it needs power doesn’t it?
So the moment I plugged it in to the port, the big screen TV lit up with my OptiPlex 755 bios screen.
After downloading some drivers it actually gives me a 1080 image.
Another Reviewer mentioned that the quality of this item is not very good, I don’t know it seems pretty sturdy to me. Most adapters are like this, I like this one. I didn’t even know that they made adapters that would do this so I am for the most part extremely pleased and I may buy a few more of these just in case I lose this one, or if in fact the other Reviewer was correct and it does break. But I don’t think it will break. but now that I think about it, it just makes sense to provide that the power that the adapter needs.
Other adapters that I have, for instance display port to HDMI, don’t require any extra voltage. Or, DVI to HDMI. but SVGA is old-school technology and apparently it requires an extra 5 V boost. At least for the computer that I am using and my big screen RCA TV.
