GERRY'S 'LIVE' GEMS!
I'm a big fan of the sixties music, especially the Merseybeat era. This one didn't disappoint. It's jam-packed with well known songs from the band's live repertoire and represents a very rare opportunity to hear Gerry and the boys singing their many chart-busting hits 'Live' in the original BBC studios like 'Ferry Cross The Mersey, How Do You Do it (72 version), I'll Be There, and of course perennial Liverpool anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone' which was the last in Gerry & The Pacemakers trilogy of UK no.1s in 1963. There's also a few timeless rockers thrown in from several of their original BBC radio broadcasting sessions dating from 1964-1972, Slow Down, Slippin' And A-Slidin', Dizzy Mis Lizzy, It'll Be Me to name a few. One classic novelty was Gerry & The P's rendition of The Sandpipers '66 chart-topper 'Guantanamara'. All in all, this CD is a rare gem for all collectors of those old 'Saturday Club' vintage BBC radio broadcasts and 'live' 60s recordings. At £3.99 it was a bargain too!

GERRY'S GEMS!!
If you're a 60s music enthusiast like me, you'll really enjoy this amazing double album set of some of Gerry & The guys finest recordings. All the hits are here including all the B-sides of the original singles. Very pleased to see they included 'It's Alright'- The original flip-side to the now all-time Liverpool football anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone'- 'It's Alright!' which was issued in November of 1963. This song has been criminally overlooked by many other so-called 'Best Of' compilations. But I personally rate it as one of Gerry and the boys finest recordings that reflected the mood of the optimistic times perfectly.
Also included are a lot of the songs from the band's black & white classic 1965 film 'Ferry Cross The Mersey'. Again, hard to find tracks unless you purchase the now rare 'Ferry Cross The Mersey movie on DVD or it's soundtrack on CD or vinyl according to your personal taste.
Even as a Gerry and The Pacemakers fan, I found a lot of great tracks here I had never heard of before like the amusingly titled 'The Wrong Yoyo' and 'You're The Reason'. Each track has been remastered in 2018 too. So at Gerry's request upon his then retirement due to ill health, you have a bunch of classic recordings for a bumper price. If you like Merseybeat, you're in for a treat!

RIVETING VINTAGE TV SCI-FI
This DVD collection of series 1 & 2 of The Invisible Man is a vintage delight of TV Heaven at it's best in Monochrome. Good story-lines, the cream of British acting talent in star guests, and a novel lead character who escapes the show's billing as you can't see him. Very entertaining and of it's time, which is endearing if anything!
