Bad for your stereo, good for your studio.
1 of 1 found this helpful This speaker has a very distinct sound - it lacks bass, but it's very fast and revealing in the midrange, which makes it good as a studio monitor. It's been said, and it's true, that it sounds so unappealing that if you're able to make a studio mix sound good on the NS-10M, then it'll sound good on any other speaker.
No one who buys this speaker should be considering it for home audio use, but as a mixing monitor, it's still a viable option after all these years.
