Onkyo TX-SR500
This receiver has lasted for over 5 years and performs without a glitch. It is a solid build quality and has never disappointed me. This experience cements my choice of Onkyo as my preferred brand of home theater receiver. The setup process was short and sweet.

Great MP3 player for the features and battery life!!!!
This player is great for several reasons. First, you get to power it with one AA battery. Given the fact that Energizer is now selling their lithium batteries, this means that you can have hours of play time. The player is rated with a 42 hours battery life span. I find that the rechargable battery powered MP3 players are absolutely ridiculous. And not to mention expensive to replace. This player also supports several sound formats and has the ability to record off of the radio. Why is recording from the radio a disappearing trend?? This feature is great to remember that song you heard to reply later for yourself or friends. The built-in mic for voice recording is not that great. The quality is bad and you'd do better with a external microphone or using another device if you are trying to record speeches or something similar. The unit is very small and portable. It's barely bigger than the AA battery!!! However the sound that it outputs is great. With SRS sounds effects, equalizer, and other sound enhancements, this player outputs better sound than most players that are twice the price. The controls are easy to learn and very accesible. The only gripe I've got is it takes a few seconds to boot it up. But once its on then switching between different functions is a snap. This is one of my favorite players that I've owned and I highly reccomend it. Hopefully, Samsung will reintroduce another AA battery player sometime in the near future.
