A camera that may replace your entire gadget bag collection!
I lived photography for a large sloce of my professional life. Leicas, Rolleiflexes, Pentax, Bronica, finally settling on Nikons in 1972 with a large bag of accessories (flash, lenses, bellows, filters, viewfinders, meters, etc.). This Olympus SP590UZ is clearly smarter and more versatile than me and all of my film equipment combined! I aim and shoot and the camera does the rest! It fits my hand almost organically, weighs about half of what my Nikon Photomic Ftn weighs, and, with a 26-to-676 equivalent zoom range, replaces my four heavy lenses with one. My Nikons are great film cameras but this Olympus has moved me into the 21st century and restored my love for the art of light manipulation! It may take me some time to learn the instrument and to relearn all of the elements of fine photography but I'm very willing to move into the future with this super-camera. Who knew, in 1972, that Olympus would produce a camera that even does your darkroom trickery inside the camera! I am amazed! I also bought one for my artist wife!
