Good for cleaning noisy volume control on HiFi amplifier

I used this to deal with a very noisy volume control of my hi-fi amplifier (ear-splitting cracks and crackles on changing the setting). A professional charged me £70 to clean it and it was a bad as ever after a week. Spraying along the spindle of the control and rotating it back and forth for about 5 minutes cleared the problem without recurrence. The fluid is so penetrating that it was unnecessary to gain access to the interior of the amplifier, the fluid simply seeped inside of the the volume control along the spindle.
