SanDisk SSD Plus SDSSDA-1T00-G26 1TB 2.5 Inch Solid State Drive

Fast SSD, installed easily,given laptop new life.

Bought before Christmas to replace the spinning drive in my laptop. Although both drives were nominally 1Tb the Sandisk SSD was marginally bigger, which made cloning the drive straitforward. I have a dual boot Linux / Windows set up, and both OS's now boot rapidly. From selecting the OS to login screen, 11 sec in Linux, and 17 sec in Windows 10. Launching applications is also noticeably quicker. Too early to know about reliability as only been in use a week or two but seems fine so far. Did not look for cloning software on Sandisk website, as Clonezilla a linux based clone tool worked fine for me. (burned to a USB live disk) the process took around 2 hours to clone the 1Tb drive, which has about 650Gb data.

Repair Hoselock products with these o rings.

These o rings allow you to repair old fittings where the o rings have perished, rather than buying complete new fittings. I have never seen them for sale in any shops stocking Hoselock products. They would rather sell you a new fitting. Two rather leaky joints leak no more! Thanks!

Convenient spacious USB storage. Fast, lightwieght, and rugged.

Does what is needed for a USB drive. It does get quite hot in use, so don't know if that will affect its long term reliability. The integral clip means it can be easily attached to a lanyard or keyring, so avoiding it getting mislaid. Big enough to hold a complete system backup, but would need to be NTFS formatted for a Windows system backup. The one piece metal enclosure, makes it rugged, and acts as a heatsink.
