Winner of the Graphics Card Lottery
I bought one of these cards in Dec of 2014, but it wasn't until last year did I learn just how good this card is. I decided to build a gamer and chose some power hogs(less than $300). The heat, the noise, the light bill and for what 58fps on ultra settings(Valley Benchmark). So I was playing around and decided to put the r7 260x also thru its paces with Valley, surprised at 31fps on Ultra for a $100 card(recently i decide to upgrade so I bought a 2nd one for crossfire, used $55 with shipping, 58fps). The magic number is 30-60 fps for decent gameplay, yeah yeah you get a zillion fps with your $15,000 beast, that just shows how stupid you really are. Now don't get me wrong if you have more money than brains and have to have a new luxury car every 3 years, by all means buy that nitrogen cooled beast(Intel chip now with 6-10 cores $1500-recycled Xeon chips).
Listen, to enjoy gaming don't go whole hog and buy the most expensive, you do that later when you hit the Lottery. Besides with the new rx 460-480 their price point has driven down those $600 cards to $300, by the way wait for improvements before buying those cards, reports of burning up boards.
Your first machine you start with could be under $850 new(build it yourself AMD 8 core) with SSD drives, 10 second boot times. With prices falling it might be closer to $650, since you don't need more than 550 watt Power Supplies,8 gbs Ram,Z97 mobo,AMD 8000 $120(less power use but with lots of power, 4Ghz or more) and of course Windows 7 PRO(to add more RAM later),240 Gbs SSD, and a pair of these R7 260's,1 TB HDD, cheap case. Yeah $650 machine that can handle PLENTY on Ultra settings, much more on 1080p High settings.
There is a reason you can't find these cards new anymore, the suppliers knew it was a mistake to sell so much for a cheap price, quit making them. I recently saw a review quoting the BenchMarks of the new RX 480 on Valley but for 1440p at 31fps, I commented about this card. "Well I guess you hit the Graphics Card Lottery", my reply "I guess I did". And I really did.

Get a copy or go to the Library, it is that funny.
I read the story about the Mother hawking this book until she met Percy. She handed him the book and refused to leave until he read some of it. Percy said he started reading the book and could not put it down. And yes she was still there.
The city of New Orleans has taking the characters to heart, their is even a bronze statue of the main hot dog eater. Read the book.
