Good, very lightweight tripod, but.....
3 of 3 found this helpful Very good lightweight tripod, ideal for travelling. Some excellent features, such as the inbuilt monopod, bracing struts and carry handle. The only downside is the pan and tilt head which is completely useless for video as movements are not smooth at all. I've fitted an old Bilora fluid-effect head in place of the supplied plastic head and this works fine. The supplied head would probably be OK for still photography.

Excellent performance!
I already had a pair of Leica 10x32 binoculars when I bought these Nikon binoculars. I can honestly say that the Nikons are every bit as good as the Leicas and a good deal lighter in weight. The Leica binoculars cost me £630 in 2002, so would be much more now. This makes these Nikon binoculars a real bargain at around £300 retail. Make sure you are getting the Monarch 7 though, as earlier versions lacked some of the advanced technology of this model. I find that I am preferring to use the Nikons rather than the Leicas-----the focusing is smoother and the close-focus distance is shorter (for Butterflies, etc).

Fully restored!
Returned my satnav to full working order. Dismantling the satnav is a bit fiddly but only takes a few minutes, once mastered. Hopefully the battery will keep my satnav working for a few more years now.
