Great experience with this seller. I ordered my items without any issues, it was the shipped out the same day as purchased. The order did take a while to arrive but I believe weather delays in the post caused the order to arrive late. But when arrived the items were well packaged & were in exceptional condition & exactly as described by the seller. Overall brilliant seller (recommend).

Why have anything else
Previously I had the Minolta Dynax 5D predecessor of the Sony Alpha a350. The Sony has the fabulous Live-View LCD and lots more options and features. It's easy to get overwhelmed with the options, but at the end of the day one should never lose sight of how it all boils down to just exposure time and aperture size - the rest is computer toys, nice ones in this case. As with computers, where general CPU speed got to a point where any more Hz was a waste of time, so I can't see why anyone would need any more than 14MP in a camera sensor - so why pay £1900 say for the latest top of the range, versus less than £400 for an a350 at time of writing. The worst feature of the a350 for me is the strange combination of both mode dial schemes for Portrait/Landscape/Night/etc and the very similar Menu button effects for essentially the same - this doesn't seem logically thought out to me as a control setting. However, you might want/need both, so it's just a question of style. It's annoying that the battery formats have changed since Minolta days, so for example a vertical grip would not be compatible across the old and new ranges. Why can't they at least state clearly what the input DC Voltage is for the charger socket ? (I guess not the same as Minolta, not the same socket anyway) A separate Sony mains transformer is a ridiculously expensive £70 odd for something which probably cost less than 1/10th of the RRP to make. As an aside, it's amazing that you almost can't find a decent leather camera bag now to put these things in - just some neoprene grot bags, again priced for a sense of humour, typically £50 for something I wouldn't put a toilet roll in. I love that the a350 has different memory settings stored for each mode-dial position - so in the "P" mode say you can set up one load of tweaks as you like it, and then in "A" mode another. The Menu button is much improved with the running on down into the next group of options without having to go up and down again. The flash button is cute, popping it up - motorising the motion would be the next logical step, having an up-down toggle. Anyway, this camera has all you could sensibly want, and maybe more. I think this marks the development point at which anything else is a waste of time.
