I don't believe I need to share my reasoning for my purchase, but have to fill in this line; asking for at least 100 characters will make me "steer clear" of leaving reviews in the future (I hope this isn't an EBAY request).

So Happy -
I bought one of these many years ago and used for so long, by accident I dropped and so it was time for a "new" camera, I went out and bought another Cannon (I have a Nikon also)... I don't even use the others, I went on to EBAY and found another (now less because it is older and used) but to this day I still swear by this model. I also have a special needs (adult) son and purchased one for him as well, I have taught him how to take pictures and scrapbook (giving him a hobby) and it is an activity we both enjoy doing together and if we get "the GREAT shot" then we choose to frame it! IMO - best camera and model ever... Thanks, has brought MANY happy years and memories for me to reflect on over the years (and many more to come).

This was a gift and told the DVD had a few skips near the end and wasn't happy about that
