Spectacular, majestic and compelling...
Jackie Morris at her elegiac best: A compelling storyteller and brilliant illustrator combined in one fantastic artist whose best work might well be argued to be found in this well made large format hardback. This is one to read and enjoy for a lifetime.

If you're thinking about a pond this is a good book to start
Though at just 55 pp this a good informative little book which covers in a concise way how to plan, build and maintain a pond organically. It will give you plenty to think about if you are just at the considering stage and if you already have a pond it is a useful guide to pond health, planting and contains a wildlife guide. The text is brief and to the point and the plentiful colour illustrations are helpful (as in the case of the step by step guide digging and lining) and help to visualise what a potential pond would look like and how to identify the creatures who will inhabit it.

Janis Ian -- Aftertones
If you value beautifully crafted gentle yet powerful singer songwriting and have never heard Janis Ian then this album is a gem which you need to add to your CD collection. Melancholy maybe but lovely moving and with brilliant storytelling this is definitely on my Desert Island long list
