Look good but features and fit are wanting

FIT: C
QUALITY: D
Bought these for my 2001 Prelude. Fit is close to OEM but not exact. There are gaps and if you want the car to look right you're going to spend time adjusting not only the lights but the bumper and hood as well. Simply installing the lights and putting the bumper back on will leave gaps. After working with the bumper and hood so the lights looked better I'd give a C score on how well they fit. But in my case they were NOT "plug and play" in this regard. More disappointing than this is these lights are not adjustable. There are two adjustment gears just like on the OEM lights; however, once you turn the gears nothing happens. I took the assembly apart once I realized the gears did nothing and discovered it's all just for show - the gears, once removed, are attached to nothing - they are only decorations. They just spin and do nothing. How disappointing and deceiving. So, in the end you get good looking lights that you cannot adjust, which means driving at night will not be a pleasant experience because the lights point where they will and you have no control over it. If I were doing it over again I'd probably not purchase these but they are installed and I'm just going to live with it for now, as this is a project car that I rarely drive at night.
Also I highly recommend using silicone sealant between the black housing and lens to help insure that there are no leaks. Cheaper lights like this tend to fog up due to poor seal so it needs some additional sealing. And one more thing, instead of using the rubber caps that come with the DEPO lights, re-use the stock ones instead. The DEPO light caps have no drain holes but the OEM ones do.

Great mod on a budget
This product offers a great compromise, you get added stiffness and shift feel without the harsh vibration that comes with solid mounts. Also very affordable comparatively. Install is not too bad at all, I recommend using plenty of lubricating oil when putting the bolts back in to help them engage. if you’re having trouble getting the bolts back in you’ll need to raise or lower the engine just a hair and they should go right in. Do not force the bolts. Also be very careful with the front bolts as they are going into aluminum which is very soft so the possibility of cross threading is high.
Vibration was just a bit too much with both mounts for me so I took the rear mount closest to the firewall back out, cut it in half, and reinstalled it with just the top portion installed. I am quite happy with this, as now I have 90% of the improvement in feel but without all the vibration. Even with the air conditioner now on the car barely vibrates. This is a perfect set up in my opinion. The picture below depicts the bottom half of the rear mount which is the part I left out of the car.

Nice improvement for the money
This piece is decent quality and installs in just a few minutes. It reduces the throw by about 10%. Not comparable to a true short shifter but this adapter does help. For the cost it's a no-brainer. I put one on my 5th gen Prelude (though a Revo RSX shifter fits and shorts it far more) and also fit one onto my 1st gen Insight. Nice subtle change. Yes the "ST-8" fits both of those cars, I have tried.
Highly recommended.
