The Munsters DVD
A lot of comedy shows written in the 1960’s were based on families that were unusual: Bewitched, The Addams Family, My Favorite Martian, and The Munsters. These shows relied on camera trickery, amazing make-up, or both. Also, the humor in these shows was often very clever. The viewers came to these programs for escape from ho-hum everyday life, and they got it. A lot of programs made during the 1960’s still hold up today as fine entertainment, and that includes The Munsters. It’s great fun, with wonderful gags, and is an important part of our television heritage.

A wide range of topics for study
This book strives to cover an area in common with Brazilian and European Portuguese, so it’s never going to be perfect. Still, it makes a great effort to cover vocabulary and sentence structure basic enough, so as to be of use to all learners of Portuguese.

Highly Entertaining
A film comedy dealing with murder cannot be easy to pull off successfully, but this film does it all the way through, and quite convincingly. Geraldine Page calls upon her unique acting skills to produce a character who is not only scary, but can also act so high-falutin’ that she’s actually a hoot. Her co-star Ruth Gordon is wonderful as Ms. Page’s foil, and neither can trust the other. I’ve already watched it twice, and it was great.
