We aim to sympathetically repair and bring back to life top quality Audio and Radio equipment. We do what is required to breath life back into equipment, but we do it sympathetically. That means if a unit had a bulb, we will try and replace the bulb with a bulb, switching to modern LED's only were there is no other option. If we come across a component that cannot be obtained anymore we will use a modern equivalent or modify the circuit to allow the use of modern components. We repair equipment to bring it up to its original specification or better and ensure the equipment meets modern safety standards. We do not do full restorations on equipment, We just do what is necessary to sympathetically repair and service equipment.

Delicate but bright!
A good Mantle. It is bright when aligned. I would definatly buy again as there is no alternative and the mantle does its job. There are a few points worth noting though. I have had two of these now were the support rods at the top have burnt through and failed. Also the mantle needs adjustment to get them to lock on to most of my gallaries. The old mantles did not suffer from these issues. The mantle material itself seems good. It is bright and lasts a long time if the supports do not give out.
Overall a good product. I just wish Aladdin would improve the design to stop the supports burning out and also return to 60 candle power ;)

The phone that is the very definition of the phrase 'Fit For Purpose'
This is possibly the best phone BT ever created. The audio is loud and clear with a quality not seen elsewhere. The buttons give good tactile feedback and the screen is clear and informative. Battery life is excellent at around one week between charges with normal office use. The external speaker is very good indeed, ideal for hands free use or waiting for those pesky call centers to answer. Range is excellent, claimed to be around 1km in open air. It certaintly goes through walls and penetrates through to the outside of typical metal factory units. The answer phone is great and crystal clear. plenty of settings to play with if you like, or just plug in and go. The ring tones are very nice and can be very loud if you turn them up.
To sum up, if your sick of bad audio quality on phones and struggle to hear on todays shoddy equipment, you will be very pleased to know BT have addressed all these issues in this one phone. Quite honestly the BEST phone for the office, Noisey workplace or the home.
Physically it is very tough and durable. There are no cheap creaking plastic panels or other parts that feel vunrable. It is IP65 rated, that means it is dust/dirt proof and splash proof. Aparantly it can be submerged in water briefly but i have not tried it out.
The standalone charger cna be pluged in anywere, holds the phone easily and charges Via wireless inductive charging ( The same as some high end mobiles ). The base station plugs directly into the phone line and also requires a power point. It is very descreet and can be tucked away neatly. Both the phone and the base ring, the base a more subdued ring so as to not annoy.
To sum up, possibly the BEST LANDLINE PHONE ever created!

High Quality, Small on size, Big on performance.
This antenna is quite short at 2.5m but it performs well. I purposely bought a short antenna as the installation site gets battered by wind in the winter months, and this installation is a fit once and forget type of installation. The antenna is on my chimney approx 12m above ground level. The site is approx 160m above sea level. I can easily open up repeaters 30 miles away with very little background noise. The antenna performs much better than expected and has a SWR of 1:1.1 on 2 meters and 1:1.5 on 70cm.
Assembly was very easy indeed. Simply fish the upper element out of the upper tube, join the bottom and top elements together with a screw then slide the top tube section into the bottom tube section and clamp tight. Personally i applied some Tempflex sealant inside of the joint as i did not trust the rubber compression gasket to keep the intense weather that i get out of the joint. I also packed the bottom of the upper tube with a little electrical tape to stop the joint from rocking ( The top section is slightly too small to provide a wobble free fit ).
The antenna is fed with LMR400 coax and the plug sealed with self amalgamating tape.
This all done, the antenna performs excellent and i'm sure it will last many years without trouble.
