Light & Beautiful reel

I paired it with a G Loomis IMX HSR 7'6" spinning rod. Took it out on a striper trip. The reel is extremely smooth and light weight. Drag is smooth and consistent. High quality reel. The only drawback is the spool is very shallow and can't hold a lot of lines. Overall: excellent reel for the money.

Beautiful rod, extremely light, good backbone with a fast tip. Love it so much I have decided to also buy the 6'6".

Loving this light, sensitive, and great backbone rod

I recently needed a 7'6" striper rod. Did a lot of research before purchasing this beauty. I wanted something light, sensitive, and a good backbone. Well, the G Loomis IMX HSR didn't disappoint. The rod weighs in at 4oz. I took it out for striper fishing below Texoma dam the same day it was delivered. I paired it with a Shimano Complex Ci4+ 2500HGS spinning reel with 15lb Powerpro braided line. First trip with the rod: I had 2 limits (10) of stripers but only kept 5. Fish ranges from 2-10lbs. Couldn't believe how well the rod performed. It has an extremely fast tip for sensitivity and long casts. Backbone was tremendous for pulling in the two 10lb stripers. It is extremely light. Look & finish is amazing. It feels great & comfortable in the hand. Quality is second to NONE . It is worth every penny. All I can say is WOW! It is DEFINITELY my favorite rod. Well done G Loomis!
