Excellent e-Reader
I purchased a nook glowlight plus and while the screen is beeter than the Kobo, the software was too tempermental, which is a shame beacuse i loved the originalglowlight so much. After a few frustrating weeks of screens changing on their own and and ackward process to turn on/off the glowlight. The glow HD was at the price I wanted to pay not to mention that the inteface is intutive and works just the way you would want. In would have liked a higher resolution screen but the current screen is more than servicable. It's easy to turn on and off the glo even in the dark. The screen is very bright and easy to read in both bright lights and darkness.. I'm very happy with my purchase decison and would do it again.

Save with a refurbished unit
1 of 1 found this helpful The speaker I purchased is refurbished. While it did not come in the original box or have the product documentation, it appeared new in every other respect. The speaker feels substantial and well made. It does not feel hollow or empty.
The sound of the speaker is good but no of the quality of a high end set of speakers. The sound comes out of the sides of the speaker so placement helps with the sound. I downloaded the Ultimate Ears app to my phone. The app includes an equalizers which allows some tweaking of the sound. I found the normal setting provided the best and clearest sound for me. The app itself is underwhelming. I would have liked there t be profiles for blues, jazz, rock etc...
The marketing for the megaboom emphasis the booming base. While the Bass is pushed I found it was a bit much and caused the sound to be a little muddy. I scaled it back and found the sound so much better.
The key reason for my purchase was the great product reviews and the loudness of the speaker. It does a great job in filling a good sized room with volume to spare.
I am very happy with my purchase but a lot of that has to do with the savings I received by purchasing a refurbished unit.
