Entertaining in parts…
This series was entertaining in parts, but implausible on the whole, although this just after was having read M Frederick’s entertaining ‘Hunter Militant’!
If you are looking for a ‘Le Carré’ or even a ‘Forsyth’ or ‘Deighton’ experience, then you might wish to look elsewhere.
There are certain scenes available online; try viewing these prior to purchasing London Spy.

You’ll either love it or…
On the whole, I love it. Whether or not Bennett’s works like ‘An Englishman Abroad’ are historically accurate, they do, nevertheless, essentially confront reality and realistic situations and circumstances comprising the human dilemma.
I have just read M Frederick’s remarkable ‘Hunter Militant’ and I own to having found some of these productions to be a tad ‘ordinary’ and pedestrian after Frederick’s helter-skelter of a romp.
That being said, like Frederick’s Hunter Militant, I believe that Bennett’s writings will stand the test of time and transcend the limitations of our superficial age.
