Linux Driver sadly deficient
I purchased this device for use with Linux. There is a Linux driver on the enclosed CD; however, it does not build with a recent kernel. I have not tried it with an older version.
Note that I am am an experienced Linux developer and I still had some difficulty in building the driver. A novice would not stand a chance.

Quiet CPU
This cooler is not easy to install, and the instructions in the box are essentially useless. In this case, resorting to a YouTube video was necessary. My CPU is an AMD FX 8350E. The noise level is the same whether the system is idling at 1400 MHz, or if all 8 CPUs are running at 3200 MHz. I have not tried overclocking, but I would not expect any difference at 3400 or 3500.
This is a good product.

Printer needed memory
My printer had the standard 128 MB of RAM. Whenever I tried to print a complicated page in color, it would run out of memory and the print job would crash. Now with 384 NB, these pages work.
