Great English Teacher Helper
Instead if having a pocket dictionary I have a thesaurus, dictionary and game master which is all geared at English.
Useful for that word asked by a student who thinks they have you or that i.promptu word game to test their powers of reasoning.
It's well worth the money.

Old is still the best
It may be the old syllabus but it contains all the key Foundation Tier maths and whatever is missing can be found in its sister book the Higher Tier.
The CD is excellent and a great means of having a copy to hand.
Exercises are set at the right level with sufficient worked examples.
Thoighbitnisndated, it is still a very useful text book.

Smart and surprising versatile
I have a penchant for Waterman or Parker fountain pens which comes at a price since good ones are neither cheap nor easily replaceble. This pen wallet holds 10 pens securely very easily, is a sturdy design and fits nicely in my briefcase bag. I've put a sticker on one side to remind me which way is "up", it could do with that but I suppose the clue for the clueless like me is the zip.
I mentioned versatile because, with fountain pens, comes the ever present need to carry replacement cartridges which, and I guess this unit was not designed with this in mind, I have managed to shove in a couple of pen holder slots, so now I have my Parker pens, protected, my cohort of cartridges covered and my Waterman writers weatherproofed within.
