A Good Product, but not Perfect
2 of 2 found this helpful The most valuable feature of this product is it's configuration. It reaches probably 85% of the non-truck tires I need to check. Its shape makes it comfortable to hold and easy to keep from dropping. My previous gauges were not easy to hang onto.
The biggest shortcoming of the product may be the life of the on/off switch. I manage several hundred tires and try to check each one about 4 times per year. This is a repeat purchase for me because the switch in the first one I bought died after about a year.
The other weakness of the product design is the battery type. I have been unable to buy a lithium chemistry battery to fit this gauge so am stuck with the alkaline battery life, about 9 months with my duty cycle.

One Happy Customer
Only time will tell whether it lasts as long as the last cartridge. Upon installation, it literally transformed this machine's output from garbage to beautiful. The cost was a small fraction of what the original manufacturer wanted for the same product so I'm very pleased by this purchase.

The right tool for a job makes the task go faster and smoother!
I've been suffering along with a large screwdriver to open coin slotted battery caps. It usually works, but sometimes damages the recess in the caps. Having this tool which is designed to exactly fit the cap's recess is far superior. I have only tested it on the easiest battery which requires it which is why I only rated it 4 stars. If it works as well on all the other batteries I have to tend it will be a great blessing.
