  I made the seller an offer just below the asking price, which was duly accepted, so Ebay auto paid - all good so far. Later the same day, I get notification of a refund - puzzling. On querying this with the seller, I receive a short, terse note saying ' item was sold on another platform'. If this was the case, why accept my offer ? I guess I should be grateful to have got a refund, but certainly wouldn't buy from this seller again
