It works, but not exactly as expected. **Slow drain can be fixed.**
The good: The wash agitation is very strong and should clean fabrics well. The spin side is impressive and will spin considerably drier than my big machine. The spin side also has a very effective brake that stops the basket when you open the door. The drain and fill hoses are of adequate length and flexible. It’s ideal for dyeing; it’s easy to wash out and none of the parts stain.
The bad: I had to fix mine; see below. Contrary to what the manual says, there is no drain pump. It drains by gravity only. There is no difference between the NORMAL and SOFT settings. I verified this when I had the covers off to fix the drain valve; the only thing connected to the SOFT-NORMAL-DRAIN knob is the drain valve. The agitation may be too strong for delicate fabrics.
The maximum recommended water temperature is 130ºF.
NOTE: If your machine drains painfully slow, like mine did, it can be fixed with an adjustment. If you have a moderate degree of mechanical ability it’s not hard to do.
Unplug and drain the machine. Remove the two screws on the bottom of the white plastic panel on the back of the machine, just above where the electrical cord enters. You will have to bend the panel outward to disengage the bottom two clips, then slide the panel downward to remove it.
Directly behind the panel is the drain valve, with a ~1/4” wide blue band attached to the valve plunger by a metal hook. The blue band is connected to the SOFT-NORMAL-DRAIN knob at its upper end, out of sight. The plunger has an assortment of holes for the hook, allowing adjustment. My unit had too much slack in the band, so that the valve was not pulled open fully. Set the knob to SOFT. Remove the hook by tipping and sliding it out, put it back in at a lower hole. Adjust so that there is just a little slack in the band on the NORMAL wash setting, so that the valve can close completely, but will fully open on the DRAIN setting. You can also bend the hook a little. Be careful to not put pressure on the plunger, you could break it.

Works great, but the second worst user i...
Works great, but the second worst user interface of any device I own. (Second only to my Foscam NVR.) You pretty much have to keep the manual close by, completely non-intuitive.
