old is sometimes better

Nikon D40 camera
Bought this camera as an introduction to digital photography, already have Nikon cameras and lenses will fit this camera. Takes good pics but at times is a bit difficult to handle. Only main grumble, which I was aware of before I bought it, was the only view is thro the viewfinder and not on the screen. The price of this camera is a cheap introduction to Nikon SLRs.

good on a .22 rimfire
good field of view though after sometime on an fac air rifle the crosshairs become detached on .22 cz its fine
