Buy with confidence, best in class!
I bought this used through ebay. Ive typically opted for high end DSLR's for my pictures and relied on my mobile (8mp) to take video. I bought this because of an impending trip to the States and figured as Im not using my phone out there and I wanted access to both video and photos at the same time, to go for a stand alone cam corder. After a day or so testing I'm totally bowled over by this machine. Its picture quality and sound is amazing. Its simple to use, quick to start/power up (very important if you have little ones) and robust. I trailed Panasonic's and Sony's in this class and have to say that this leaves them for dead. A little tip for those interested in following suit, ensure your software update on the device has been updated to include class 10 cards and higher. The update is simple, and the support for this on Canon's site is really top class.

Apple at its best
I bought this as a back up for my 15" MacBookPro 2.66 i7 as its less than half the weight and as its less expensive I didnt mind slugging it about more often which is after all why you would want a lap top. Since Ive bought it I got rid of the IPAD 4 and you cant get me off it to the point where I no longer need anything else. Its quick (maybe faster than my MBP), super resilient and the parts are stupidly cheap. Buy one of these and you wont look back.
