The Miele S6290 performes with strong suction and will clean right to edge
After my Dyson Animal smoked, smelled and sparked during use, just as the warranty had run out, I needed a new vacuum. A lot of research led me to the conclusion that the miele was about the best available, and I loved the idea of an energy efficient machine. The S6290 fitted my bill, despite being a bag vacuum which I originally did not want.
The Miele S6290 performes very well with strong suction and will clean right up to the edges. I have found the bag to be prefereable option to bagless as it contains all dust and dirt which is then disposed in the bin. No more cleaning the bagless vacuums interior. I also have found the bags, despite their small size, do not need regular changing. I am a pet owner and the Miele easily tackles all of my Misty's long hair coat, and on top of that it is the quietest vacuum I have ever used. No other vacuum will collect dirt from those crevices like the Miele the suction on Max is equal to any 2000w machine with out the bills on this energy efficient Miele.
On the downside I find the storage for the tools a little awkward but functional. The other issue is maybe a strange issue but the suction is so strong it can need some effort to move the head across the floor. This is easily coped with if you take slow movements, which results in better cleaning, and the Miele is fully adjustable for suction via the motor and an air release valve on the handle.
I have had various hoovers in the past. A Henry, A Dyson, Dyson Animal and in comparison this is the best performing vacuum I have used and hope the reliability matches reports and Miele reputation. I purchased a Miele Washing machine 18 months ago and the performance, build quality, and reputation of this washer went someway to convince me to buy the Miele Vacuum; I have not been dissapointed so far.
