Great encyclopedia to complete the set!

Nice, simple unit that plays tapes and DVDs. Older TVs need a tuner for it
This is our first purchase for this particular used/pre-owned brand and model DVD/VCR Combo unit. I bought this to play the many VHS tapes I have. I always buy three different units at a time to keep on hand for when one goes we have another one to slip in to use when one goes since they are all used units out there. It works as it should, although since it is no longer made and the ones now available for sale are used and/or refurbished don't expect to get too much use out of it. We were lucky to get one year's use out of it. This one is a newer and later model of VCR/DVD combo unit manufactured in March 2003 (which is what ours was labeled anyway.) As it is newer, it will not work with older TVs without purchasing a tuner to go with it which runs an extra $10.00 or so.
Overall, a worthy purchase to do the job it is designed to do: It plays vhs video tapes and DVDs. Also, realize that depending on where you buy it, you may not get a remote control unit with it, so be sure to know what you are buying.
