Mixed bag
Very experienced with surround systems and sound bars. SQ is very good, but a few annoying negs: -A lot of bleed across channels - - at default crossover frequency there is a fair amount of boominess in the low end, as male vocals in particular will bleed through and add unwanted resonance to the mix -Rear channels often pick up front channel cues, giving an impression of static or something 'off' about the sound. So overall, while the quality of the individual speakers is high, the quality of the overall integration is only fair. Also, for a system with so many options and settings, the EQ and volume settings are meager--I don't think the individual channel volumes vary by more than +/- 3dB, and even at lowest setting there is still sound. I'm glad I bought this refurbished or I'd feel really disappointed. Even with latest FW this leaves a lot to be desired. My 7yo entry level Vizio honestly had better system integration and EQ, even if the overall SQ was much lower. I generally like this unit, but doubt I would purchase it again.
TIPPER - SURROUNDED NEW DUALDISC

Brilliant Use of Surround Sound
This makes a great reference disc for a 5.1 system--Tipper clearly went all out to showcase 5.1 in a truly thoughtful and original way, and that's what I love most about this disc. As for the music--I'm a big fan of electronic, dance and house music in all its forms, so I really liked this but I'm not sure if it's a keeper for me musically (but that's just personal preference, not a slight)...I'd recommend listening to the album on YT first to see if you like the music, but if you just want a fantastic surround disc to enjoy, you can't go wrong.
