Deserves the Hype
Kardia-Mobile is an awesome little device to record funky heart rhythms, My primary doc suggested it before I got my 30-day heart monitor, and I love it. It's easy and simple, It uses a flat watch battery, and they last forever, and the app works with most smart phones and is FREE. Keep in mind that it's just for the detection of afib, tachycardia, and bradycardia, So, if you have an arrythmia that's 'not dangerous', or any other physical heart issues, it will NOT detect those. It's perfect to keep a record of my afib events, and be able to show them to my doctor. It keeps a history of all recordings, but you can delete them at any time. You can also use it for other people, as there is an option for guests and you can add notes and names, etc. The default time of recording is 30 seconds, but there are options for up to 5 minutes...however, the device will only analyze the first 30 seconds unless you pay for an upgrade account. I don't think many people need to do that, unless they didn't have a current doctor, In any case, it deserves the hype. It's expensive, but you can find them new on Ebay or other sites for half that. It's well worth it.
