Technically excellent improvement of video and audio.
1 of 1 found this helpful TNG was a very good series that I followed closely when it originally aired. I find rewatching it an enjoyable experience, and taking note of character development is especially fun.
The technical improvement of video and audio are very good. Don’t expect it to rival today’s new productions that are able to utilize improved computer generated graphics though. The surround sound mix is an improvement, but is not important or particularly effective. Dialogue and special sound effects are clean and clear.
Do not be surprised that each episode’s video content is in 4:3 format. Otherwise the focus is clear and colors are good. It’s just as clear as today’s modern HD video.
The box and disc folios are attractive and adequate to contain everything.
This set is worth the price, and technically precise enough to enhance the viewing experience. The storylines and character evolutions were always a TNG strength and can be viewed in wonderful clarity on your modern system, no matter how advanced. TNG is a worthy use of your viewing dollar and time. I recommend this set for old fans, and those searching for something good to watch!
