Kem Nunn is a largely unsung and great writer. He writes of the same corrupt underbelly of the promised land that James M. Cain wrote of, that Raymond Chandler wrote of... He writes of it because the poverty, the crime, the oppression of the poor and alienated are still there. The Roman Noir lives.
