Good, but be aware of the limitations

The adapter does what is supposed to do, but it, and similar adapters without separate regulators have an inherent problem. The 3.3 volt output is limited to 50 milliamps because it is supplied by the FT232RL chip. If this limit is substantially exceeded, the adapter will crash the computer to which it is attached. The adapter should be fine for programming pro minis, but it does not provide enough power to run an esp8266. It will however program an esp8266 if a separate power supply is used. A better design would have a separate 3.3 volt regulator chip on board.
