It is good, but not enough
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this product recently, but I can say few things.
First:
For those who want solid build item, this is not the case. It has not very quality buttons, switches and its lack of volume in headphones. It is hybrid build (plastic and some metal).
Definitely not recommended, because of the above facts, BUT it does a good job with sound.
It is very clean, clear and you can hear good details in music you are listening and producing - this is a very good point to start if the external aspects are not that important for you.
This is a good interface to start, but definitely not the one for the long run, if you have plans on growing.
I will buy something new after some time and after return the money for it (i will keep it, but not for long).

Not at all what you would expect! Be aware!
2 of 6 found this helpful I saw this product a little time ago. Thought it could respond to my expectancies and even let it to my future children to study. But it is not at all what it is described. All you see is the image, not usability, nor quality keyboard.
It is just external design, but it is not that high quality, how Yamaha describes it.
It is a regular midi (even if they tell you its a digital piano). You can use it this way, but it has NO USB OUTPUT and no AC Adapter. You have to buy all that stuff above that $160 you pay for this "instrument". It is rather a toy, not an instrument you can play. And another big problem is that it has latency. When you plug midi ports (I bought ones) you would expect a delay in your DAW. So, be prepared for a latency of "a bit later after you press the key".
Of course it has its own sound, but it is too reverberated (not very quality reverb) and touch response it not very quality-like. You get 3 types of response (only): hard, silent and medium. This is not very useful for expression, but you have to decide for yourself.
I am very unsatisfied because of buying this and because of Yamaha's marketing. What is good at Yamaha is their Grand Piano, not digital, or other stuff.
