4 of 4 found this helpful I have been recording on my home studio on and off for a few years now but have often had trouble with latency. Recently II have been setting up my Macbook with Cubase which I prefer over Garage Band but while using my old usb interface could not get past the latency issue. Latency is when you record your second track it is out of time slightly to the first. This interface cures the problem completely. The latency before was caused by the first track being played back after going through the processor which inserts a time delay while listening to the second track at source, therefore with no time delay. With the UM2 you are listening to all the tracks before the processor so they are all in sync. This means no latency at all. If you are experiency the same problem don't hesitate, buy it now. Worth every penny.
