Garmin made better by BMW.
The internals of the Navigator VI are Garmin, so the basic job of working out where you are and showing you on a map is competently handled. The screen is clear and bright, and the touch system works well. Unfortunately, the interface and menu structure is also Garmin, so things you do once and never again are easy to get to (choosing an icon for your vehicle takes just three taps) but things that are needed every day are tediously long-winded to reach (turning on the GPS simulator takes six taps and don't even get me started on route editing). The real advantage of the device is the very tight integration with the motorcycle and with smartphones. Many of the GPS functions can be controlled from the BMW handlebar, and the GPS unit collects and displays a wide range of data from the bike and a linked smartphone can supply a range of useful data to the GPS. If you are going to fit a GPS to a BMW, this is the one to choose.

Does the job with little fuss
I used this plastic wood to plug holes from previous fixtures on the back of a door. It bonds well and can be sanded flat with no trouble at all. When it is stained or varnished it doesn't colour precisely like the surrounding wood but it is pretty close.
