Loaded with features
One of my favourite Classic Space sets: It has mostly blue bricks rather than grey, and also features a lot of the best classic space parts. The yellow windows alone are extremely valuable. It has so many features such as 2 grab arms, 2 containers, movable parts, opening hatches on the roof, and a buggy, spaceship and rocket! It's also one of those sets with a black classic space figure, which are much rarer than the other colours.

As roomy as a Star Destroyer!
Easily my absolute favourite Lego space set of all time! It wasn't always, as I never had it as a child, but I would have totally "spaced out" on it then. This is a set with very few flaws. It has the best classic space colour scheme, it has a higher percentage of amazing parts than perhaps any other Lego set ever produced, and most important of all, it's an extremely roomy spaceship. It can easily hold 15 minifigures (or more) inside, which is probably more than a First Order Star Destroyer! For a spaceship with under 500 pieces I consider that miraculously amazing to hold as many figures as one with over 3 times as many pieces!
Although this may be more of a transport or exploration ship than something more fearsome looking, the back section detaching as a sort of mini space station or outpost along with a buggy that fits inside makes this set even more impressive than first impressions. There are many expensive parts in this set, so expect this set to appear more expensive than it's worth. Although I resent some of the prices this set is now sold for, anyone who doesn't already own 3 or more of these may wish to consider picking one up as the many expensive parts in the set are sure to rise in price as years go on before prices get really crazy.

Flash Gordon bad-guy style Lego figure
1 of 1 found this helpful I suspect this figure is underrated due to few young people being familiar with Flash Gordon. This figure is reminiscent of the bad guy soldiers from those series. It's essentially an army figure of sorts, and thus worth picking up at least a few (5 or more) for a cohort of guards for a prospective Lego space emperor at his palace. So far I've collected 39, to prevent any Lego heroes from foiling the Emperor's plans!
