Hard to put down
This is a story that covers a lot of epic events in a young girl's life. It's gripping and heart-wrenching and very compelling. I bought the second book The Winter Rose first and waited until this one arrived to begin reading about Fiona's life story. There is lots of historical reference which brings the story to life. And you can really root for the heroine in this book- she's someone you'd like to meet. I highly recommend this book.
