A good read
Haddon is a brilliant storyteller. Presenting the English town Swindon from the perspective of a problem child, an autistic savant and math genius who claims, "I see everything," Haddon gives us an alternative view of the entire world and universe, strange yet valid. It is fun to follow this child as he solves crimes and tackles life problems. The book is such a great read! No wonder it garnered so many prestigious awards! Recommend highly!

Addictive
The Judge Dee novels are engrossing and addictive. The characters, especially the faithful Sergeant Hoong, Dee's lieutenants and even denizens of the Chinese underworld, are fully realized, and the reader can't help but get attached to them. The plots are multilayered and intricate, and it is so much fun to follow Dee as he tries to make connections and solve the crimes. I am glad Van Gulik wrote so many Dee mysteries. I'm hooked.

Worth the cost
Best dog food bowl ever. I expect it will last for generations of pooches. I shall have to leave it to someone in my will. The nicest feature is that it doesn't scoot around and disappear under a table or cabinet. It is sturdy, hard to carry off and hide. It is proof against chewing teeth and cannot be bent or dented. I highly recommend this bowl. It is well worth the extra few bucks. After all, it is something I use every day, and I appreciate not having to look around for a bowl that has disappeared when I am rushing around trying to get through my morning routine.
