About us

My Grandfather, Major Frederick Albert Murray, was a very keen collector of Stamps and German Beer mats.
When he was living in South Africa between 1967 and 1977 ( year he died ) he was the president of the Philatelic Society / Club in Johannesburg.
Hence the name: FAM stamps
From 1978 till 1984 my mother, his daughter then continued adding to the collections by purchasing from reputable stamp sellers like Harry Allen and Sotherby's in South Africa and UK
So the stamps that are up for sale and the ones soon to be listed for sale are from this vast collection
Me I suppose its a fascinating all consuming interesting hobby
