Poor auto focus for both pictures and videos
0 of 1 found this helpful This Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W710 full spectrum conversion camera does not focus properly. About 8 out of 10 pictures taken are at least slightly blurry and out of focus, while some are of them are terribly out of focus. The auto focus similarly fails on videos as well. Turning on Center Focus or Spot Focus in the settings menu does not improve image quality. Turning the auto focus light on or off in the settings menu does not improve image quality either. When the IR filter was removed for the conversion, I wonder if anything was put in it's place to maintain auto focus functionality? Also note that this model camera can only shoot HD videos about 10 minutes at a time before it creates a 2GB file and automatically stops recording.
